Bastille sind eine Indie-Rockband aus London. Benannt haben sie sich nach dem Geburtstag ihres Bandgründers, dem 14. Juli, an dem in Frankreich der Jahrestag des
Sturms auf die Bastille gefeiert wird.
Worum es in ihrem zweiten Hit Things we lost in the fire geht, muss jeder für sich
herausfinden. Verlust, Zerstörung, Neuanfang und Liebe sind ganz heiße Favoriten. Interessant ist dabei vielleicht auch, dass es in der ersten Single
Pompeii - ebenfalls vom Album Bad Blood - um die Zerstörung
der gleichnamigen Stadt bei einem Vulkanausbruch ging.
